in which the pizza shop promises that Matt Nelson's Pizza will be there between 9 and 2.
Matt Nelson is having a strange night. He's been trying to get food all over town, but keeps hitting an impossible (and weird) customer service obstacle. First, a waitress at his favorite restaurant basically turned into a phone tree while he was trying to order; now the pizza shop is making him fill out a form and promising to get his pizza out to him tomorrow between 9 and 3.
He is angry and very close to losing it.
He doesn't know that The Ancient Cabal of Secret Business Wisdom is behind all his trouble. They have been sending him through this customer service nightmare when it seems he is getting too big for his britches.
But will they themselves get to order a slice of pizza? And will Matt Nelson ever get food?
About Merry Holidays, Please Hold
Matt Nelson, head of Matt Nelson International Social E-Consulting Enterprise Leverage Solutions, has been helping businesses develop their customer service strategies for years. As a result, he singlehandedly invented bad customer service. Hold music, byzantine phone trees, rude coffee shop workers, and the fax machine as a customer support tool are all inventions sprung from Nelsons cold, dead heart.
But this holiday season, the tables will finally turn on our anti-hero, as hes shown the true meaning of customer service both the good and the bad. In this 10-episode comedy web series, Nelson takes a Christmas Carol-like journey through the customer service wasteland he has created; a place where doughnut vendors require voluminous contracts before they sell their goods and restaurant servers become possessed by automated voice-prompt menus. Will he survive? Will he see the errors of his way? Will he stop using fax machines? Tune in and find out.
